Covid Can’t Keep Us Down: Remedies

“How I helped my father (60), mother (57), youngest brother (16), and myself (27) cure and turn covid around with what we had in our kitchen.”

...The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Rev 22:2

Black Seed Oil

The anti-inflammatory effects of black seed oil may extend to improving asthma symptoms. Its effect in reducing inflammation in the airways, and is also antiviral and antibacterial. It’s an immunity enhancer for immune-compromised people. Black cumin seeds are used in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Headache

  • Rheumatic pains

  • Asthma and coughs

  • Respiratory ailments

  • Obesity

  • Hay fever (allergies)

Remedy: 1 teaspoon of blackseed oil mixed with equal or lesser honey twice a day for 21 - 30 days or longer. I took it on an empty stomach and it was fine. However, Black seed oil is strong, so please advise if you have a sensitive stomach take it after eating a well-balanced meal. I also added 3 drops of oil of oregano to each black seed oil and honey dosing 2X a day.

Garlic

Helps boost the immune system and speeds up recovery time, especially when fighting colds, the flu, and other respiratory infections like COVID by warming the lungs, to clear phlegm. Phlegm is made by your throat and lungs. The body makes even more mucus and phlegm when reacting to an allergy or having a cold or infection.

Dr. Boucher says “When you cough up mucus when you are sick, you are essentially clearing the viruses or bacteria from your body"

Remedy: Garlic & Honey: 1 raw garlic clove - crushed and/or diced, covered in raw honey on a tablespoon every 4 hours. Chop the garlic clove up prior to eating for best results in order to “activate” it’s healing components. Let it sit for fifteen minutes prior to consuming.

Honey

Honey exerts a protective effect in the cardiovascular system, where it mainly prevents the oxidation of low-density lipoproteins, in the nervous system, in the respiratory system against asthma and bacterial infections, and in the gastrointestinal system.

Manuka honey

Could have greater antibacterial activity than other types of honey: it has greater antibacterial activity than other types of honey. It has the ability to kill bacteria because it contains properties such as hydrogen peroxide and defensin-1 proteins. Manuka honey (incomplete?)

Matcha

Stimulates the detoxification process in your body along with increasing the immune system. The antiviral effects of matcha green tea may support the prevention and regulate the immune response in infectious diseases, yes this includes COVID-19

Remedy: Matcha Tea 1 to 2 cups every day. 1 to 2 teaspoons, mixed/shaken with mineral water and vanilla syrup as a sweetener. And/Or a HOT Matcha Tea Latte with plant based milk and your favorite honey. Best to buy from a tea brand that tests their products for toxins and bags it in organic tea bags or is loose leaf.

Mineral water contains electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium which are essential basic elements to maintain cell normal physiological condition function. They help regulate the reproductive system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, neurological system, and respiratory system, etc, maintaining normal human health.

Pineapples

Pineapple has also been connected with the reduction of phlegm and respiratory illness. Therefore, it just might be the perfect snack or dessert to hold off a cold or flu. Either bromelain or bromelain-rich pineapple stem could be used as an antiviral for treating COVID-19 and future outbreaks of other coronaviruses.

Remedy: I juiced ginger, apples, turmeric, carrots, and pineapples mixed with water and honey and we drank 1 to 3 cups a day.

Pineapple and Honey Cough Syrup Recipe

Using a few simple ingredients, you will have an all-natural remedy “syrup” that will help you and your loved ones beat the cough and congestion. It also helps by soothing your throat and boosting your immune system.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped pineapple (no need to remove the core, as it contains bromelain)

  • 3 tsp raw honey (exclude for children under age 1, as in rare cases, infantile botulism may develop)

  • 1-inch piece of ginger

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • Dash of sea salt

  • Dash of cayenne pepper (exclude or reduce for children)

I personally add or replace cayenne pepper with cinnamon.

Equipment

  • Blender

  • Sieve (optional)

Instructions

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

2. You can most certainly consume as-is. Or, if you prefer a more liquid consistency, “syrup” consistency, strain using a sieve.

3. Store in the fridge and use within a week or less.

Teas - Alongside all the above we drank hot tea with honey: black tea, hibiscus tea, neem leaf tea, golden milk, and peppermint tea.

HOT TIP: Try and buy tea from companies that test for toxins as teas can contain high amounts when incorrectly sourced.
  • Black tea: contains tannins and alkylamine. Tannins can help you fight viruses like influenza, dysentery, and hepatitis. Black tea also contains alkylamine, which has a direct connection with boosting your immune system.

  • Hibiscus Tea: can help boost your immune system and may help to prevent cell damage caused by free radicals in the body. The antioxidants reduce inflammation. This can reduce your risk of developing many significant health complications

  • Neem Tea: is antifungal, anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial, antiviral, contraceptive, and sedative. The oil extracted from these leaves is used to balance blood sugar levels and detoxify the blood.

  • Golden Milk Tea: is also used to fight respiratory issues and is also a remedy for colds and cough. It helps fight common illnesses, such as the flu. The curcumin that turmeric contains provides antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties that can help a person better fight infections.

  • Peppermint Tea: is antibacterial properties that help to ward off bacteria that are harmful to your immune system. The essential oils in peppermint tea are also antiviral and antimicrobial, which can benefit your immune system and help your body fight infection.

Foods - No one had much of an appetite for the first week, so we mostly drank water, fresh juices, ate pineapples, apples, hot oatmeal, and brothy soups… and yes even 33 cent chicken ramen with Louisiana hot sauce :) We added fresh garlic, spinach, and onion for health and taste

*If someone has an existing condition where large amounts of sodium trigger their immune response this might not be helpful*

When our appetites came back we ate salads, grilled salmon, chicken with rice, and steamed or sauteed veggies.

HOT TIP: TRY & EAT LIKE A VEGAN WHEN SICK.

Absolutely NO DAIRY. Leave animal products alone during this time or at the least, LIMIT your consumption to lighter healthier meats; like fish and chicken. Avoid RED MEATS.

HOT TIP: NO COLD WATER WHEN SICK.

Get in the habit of drinking room temperature or warm water. Excess intake of cold water depletes the kidneys which eventually weakens them. THIS CAUSES THE BODY TO HOLD ON TO FLUID AND TOXINS that should be eliminated by the kidneys.

Positive to Negative

All four of us tested positive for covid-19 that first week but after prayer, faith, and all the above Yah given remedies our test came back negative about a week or two later! No doctors, no over-the-counter meds, just good'ol nature, sunlight, and Ahava (love).
